Hello,

After a heavy rain, I noticed water dripping in my carport. As seen, it is seeping through an area near the wall. It's also dripping very slightly near the wall but I don't see any water on the wall. Could it be that it's running behind the paneling? Should I be concerned about moisture damage? Image 2 shows the paneling and it's at the narrow slats in some places. Wooden carport ceiling with visible water stains near the wall, indicating possible leakage issues. Wood panels and structural beams are shown. Wet concrete and brick surface by wall with visible water stains indicating leakage, near thin wooden panels mentioned in the discussion about carport water issue. Wooden ceiling in a carport showing signs of water seepage and dampness, with visible dark spots and knots, indicating possible water damage.

If it is well ventilated, it should dry up. After all, it is just a carport. However, I would start by finding the leak. It's a bit difficult to understand the construction, so an external picture could probably provide some new clues.

EDIT: one would want to see how the roof is connected to the house. Because the carport's roof is attached to the facade, right?

Thank you for the quick response. I will get back to you with a picture from the outside tomorrow when the sun returns :)

That's correct, it's against the house wall and leans slightly downward.

A white house with a red-tiled roof and a parked black Volvo under a carport.
Found a picture on my phone

The sheet against the house's gable looks strange, a picture of it?

No unfortunately no clearer picture of it, will try to take a picture tomorrow from a good angle.

This is a lockläktpanel without an air gap, right? Seen from below. It dripped a lot from there, so I assume moisture has penetrated towards the wall.
