I'm in the process of building a bathroom in the basement. I've put tiles on the walls and waterproofed everything, etc. But I just realized that maybe I shouldn't have the underfloor heating on when I lay the tiles on a semi-warm floor. The adhesive might dry faster than it sets. I have a 10 cm concrete slab with the pipe embedded in the middle. I turned off the loop that goes in the floor where I'm going to tile yesterday (Monday) afternoon. The floor now feels cold, and the plan is to start tomorrow evening after work.
As long as it's summer temperatures outside, it's probably okay to have that loop turned off. But if it gets very cold outside, I have to turn it on again, at least so it doesn't freeze. The heat pump sends out warmer water the colder it is outside, so right now it's about 30 degrees. The plan is to lay the tiles tomorrow evening (Wednesday). Friday evening, I will grout. I'll keep the floor slightly moist for a few days.
But how long do I have to wait until I turn the heating back on?

Which moisture is being blocked when you install a moisture barrier in a basement bathroom? Moisture from outside or moisture from inside? Considering all the writings about building too tightly in basements leading to mold and other moisture issues in recreation rooms and similar spaces?
The question is of a purely academic nature for me, as my basement consists of a fully welded box of one cubic meter.

In my case, it's the moisture from inside because the bathroom is against the basement wall which is freestanding. Meaning there's no ground against the wall. So, writing basement was actually completely unnecessary. It could just as well have been in the attic.
