I was up today and checked around in the attic and saw on one of the gable walls that there is a 3-5cm gap between the wall and the nearest rafter on one side, while on the other side they are completely aligned. Should I be concerned about this, or is it just that the rafter or wall is "misaligned"?

Attached are 2 pictures where you can see the difference against the left and right eaves.

On the outside of the house facade, there is a crack that runs from the foundation up towards the eave, about 0.5cm at the top and decreasing the further down it goes. The crack is completely vertical from top to bottom, with no diagonal crack on the outside.

If it's something that needs to be checked, who should be contacted?

Attic view showing slight alignment issue between wall and roof beam, with potential 3-5 cm gap. Beam appears weathered and uneven against attic wall. Gap between attic wall and nearby roof truss, showing a 3-5 cm difference in alignment.

They weren't so particular about the spirit level at that time. The difference probably doesn't matter. It's mainly diagonal cracks, indicating settlement, that one should watch out for.
