cool the house with a refrigerator (hear me out)
1. Buy a cheap refrigerator on blocket (300 SEK).
2. Place it on the patio/balcony.
3. Run two hoses between the residence and the refrigerator. One for incoming air / one for outgoing air.
4. Use a pax fan to push the air into the refrigerator, so it is cooled and then enters the house.
Works like a heat pump, but for 500 SEK?

Well, it's not the same as a heat pump with cooling function.A Avatar86 said:1. Buy a cheap refrigerator on blocket (300 kr).

What a refrigerator/freezer uses is the Peltier element.
So the efficiency is under 100%
which means if you input 1kW of electricity, you might get 0.5-0.6kW of cooling
Now, a refrigerator/freezer is not on 1kW but more like 100-250W, maybe you can find something double, so say 500W
then you have about 300W of cooling
Sure it cools ... but the cost in operation ...
A refrigerator is very inefficient because the cooling element is built into the "wall" and not designed as a cooling element that air can be blown through. If you circulate air through a refrigerator with a PAX fan, the difference in the air's temperature probably won't differ by many tenths of a degree... It would be heating for nothing...
Apparently, you can buy it expensive too... 😀Gimp said:
But in principle, it's cheaper to install a Peltier element than a compressor. And the efficiency becomes significantly worse.
Yes, there are cheaper ones, but they can't handle the same temperature and lack lighting.B BSOD said:
Only child...
Efficiency, what is that...😉
In principle, it works just like a heat pump. But if you compare the volume it is designed to cool, you will realize the problem. The room you want to cool is much larger than a fridge and the effect is not sufficient.A Avatar86 said:1. Buy a cheap fridge on blocket (300 SEK).
