Many write that you should use timber of K24. But what is the difference? I went to K-Rauta and saw that they had both K24 and unspecified floor joists. But K24 was significantly more expensive.

Does Byggmax have such timber, does anyone know? I am going to buy timber for floor joists, walls, and rafters. Which of these must be K24 in that case???

Best regards, Freij

K24 is a classification of structural timber of a certain quality.

To my knowledge, Byggmax does not have a classification for their timber.

Usually, you can replace K34 timber with regular timber of thicker dimensions, but it's a matter for a designer who can calculate based on your specific needs.

K24 talks about how many branches can be in the timber and where (distance etc)
