I just had an inspection by an SBR inspector of a house that I have tentatively bought, built in 1966, hardly anything done since then, brick house, slab on ground without a basement, called the Huskvarna house. Among the more serious issues the inspector found were cracks in the foundation and some in the facade. If I want an explanation of what causes it, measures to take, and the cost, I need to order a new inspection, a technical inspection. Should this be done before deciding to buy? If negotiating the price, how much cheaper? As an amateur, I guess it could be due to being on clay soil? How dangerous is it usually? How much can it cost at most?
