Joists for ceiling with spotlights
How should I frame for a ceiling with spotlights?
I was thinking of using 45x45 battens, but I'm wondering if I should lay them in both directions, so to speak?
Or is it enough to lay them in one row?
Maybe explained poorly, but I hope someone understands 😊

Yes, I thought so, then there's room for the hoses and stuff for the spotlights. The ceiling I'm going to have is called Forestia.
Okay, very good tips here😊
Does anyone know of any good LED spotlights?

We used Hidealite comfort G2, quite expensive but I think they worked well both during installation and use (one driver per lamp). I just saw that there is also a variant called "tune" that gives a yellower light when dimmed down and whiter at higher brightness - sounds interesting.Korvmedbröd said:

Which way do you put the roof then? 🤔 Does it really matter? I just thought it would be easier to put the studs across instead of along as the roof should be.

The frame is twisted, everything is already on the ceiling. I wanted the studs perpendicular to the existing wooden planks, as well as a frame around. Underneath, there's gypsum which is not facing any particular direction.
I replaced my old halogen spotlights with new Philips LED bulbs bought at Jula for about 100 SEK each. They were dimmable as well. Very satisfied. In the summer cottage, I replaced the 12-volt spotlights with Biltema's LED bulbs, the only downside there is that they interfere with the stereo!
