Hello all builders! Amateur/novice-builder here working on a deck roof (shed roof with tongue and groove and felt, which will be attached to the facade of the house). Is it possible to attach the roof so that the top of the tongue and groove is as close as 10 cm from the eave of the house?

From what I've understood, a flashing/metal sheet should be mounted 30 cm up on the facade. Is it okay to deviate from that if you put the deck roof 10 cm under the house's overhang?

The intention is to enclose the deck and possibly insulate it into a sunroom in a few years, if that makes any difference.

Very grateful for any answers!

All the best

As long as you can actually access and do a good job, I think 10cm is enough under an eave.

I will go with it, don't really have much choice, it'll probably be fine :) Thanks for the info!
