I have received an excellent tip as a solution to my problem of mounting a climbing frame on an old wooden wall (see thread https://www.byggahus.se/forum/threa...raevaegg-ab-svenska-traehus-fran-1944.524717/). For this, I need a 28x70 batten (sparse panel) to place between the climbing frame and the wall to even out the load. I wonder if 28x70 wood is available in a type of wood other than pine? The reason is that the construction will be visible, and I therefore want it to resemble the climbing frame as much as possible. The climbing frame is made of oak. I’ve googled all the building markets I know but only find pine. Does anyone know?
Oak can probably be arranged, depending on the requirements, quantity, and geography. How perfect does it need to be? Is it okay with some knots and the like? I understand 28*70, but how long do you need in that dimension? Where do you live?
