I am going to install underfloor heating on the upper floor above the garage (60m2).
It has a wooden joist with 60cc between the floor joists, I have a span of "8mx7.5m" with a steel beam in the middle of the joist to relieve the load.
I have read around but am at a loss on how to proceed.

Option 1
Open batten 28x95 floor heating plates and 8mm laminate?

Option 2
Tongue and groove chipboard, glued and screwed, open batten, floor

Option 3
Milled chipboard, plates and floor?

Do I need to have chipboard at the bottom for the construction's sake? Will I have flex if I don't have it?

I would have gone with option 2, the laminate seems like it needs the stability.
