What do the experts say, Can the floor joists for a hayloft be hung in joist hangers fastened with anchor screws, or do I need to place the joists on the bearer beam? The joists span 5.20 but with an extra row of posts underneath in the middle.
I don't consider myself an expert, but my spontaneous answer is yes. There should be a quick guide for what load such a joist hanger can handle and how many screws you need if you're unsure. What will be the load on the floor structure?
