Hello,
We are in the process of building a house and have decided to build it with concrete. However, we are not sure whether to choose wood or concrete for the interior walls.
Concrete walls are wider than wooden walls, i.e., they take up more living space and require larger holes in the walls where you want to hang things, i.e., a slightly bigger operation than with wooden walls and not as easy to conceal/repair the larger holes.
But with wooden walls against concrete walls, there will likely be recurring cracks in the joints since the wood moves with weather changes. The expression that one should avoid mixing different materials is well-known, but does it also apply to indoor environments?
Is there anything else to consider when choosing materials for the interior walls?
Grateful for tips from those who have experience with this.
