Insulation/soundproofing behind interior paneling
Planning to install tongue and groove paneling and paint it white on a long wall in the hallway. Behind the wall are 3 bedrooms next to each other. The wall consists of glued chipboard, with strips of cardboard inside acting as studs, about 20cm apart. Not well insulated, quite noisy. Is there any thin soundproofing material that can be used between the wall and the paneling without needing to add studs?
