Insulating Damp Utility Room (Basement)
Hello Everyone,
My summer house is on a foundation built on a sloping rock. The foundation is just under a decimeter high at the back and 220cm at the front. This means that under the front part of the house, there's space for a small utility room where I have the incoming water pipe and pressure tank.
The utility room is probably hopeless to try to keep completely dry, as some water always seeps in along the rock. But I would like to insulate the space so I can keep the water on during the winter without it costing a fortune.
Does anyone have advice on how I should proceed and what materials I should choose?

Difficult when you have moisture along the mountain. Exclusively, you should have an insulating material that doesn't absorb moisture in larger amounts and can withstand being wet. What are the walls and ceiling of the utility room made of?
I think you should build with leca or alternatively use cell plastic insulation. The disadvantage of the latter is that it largely traps moisture inside, meaning you get one-sided drying of the wall when it gets wet.
