Hi! I'm in the middle of renovating the hallway by the entrance at home. The house is clad with nailed brick, windpaper, plank wall, and then with any luck, some form of lighter insulation. After that, there's a thinner tongue-and-groove wall. I find this wall quite cold (there was a cavity before and a thin wall outside). I'm planning to create a cavity again to build in electrical boxes, etc., but not as thick. Would it work to use thin EPS as insulation, or should I go with the regular kind? It can't be thicker than what a box is, including OSB and drywall. Should one put plastic between the tongue-and-groove wall and the insulation?
