Installing ceiling panel with staple gun

I am planning to install ceiling panels on the rafters indoors. Since I don't own a compressor for a staple gun, I would like to use a type of staple gun that works without air pressure.

Can I install ceiling panels... meaning thin pulp boards... with a staple gun? What size of staples should I use so that they really go into the rafters and don't leave sticking out through the ceiling panel? Can I, for example, use Biltema's brad nailer and staple gun ENS 16?

It depends on what kind of panel you have. I tried it with some kind of panel that was very cardboard-like, but then the staple went straight through the material. So it didn't work at all. But if you have a tougher material in the panel, it should work.

You probably have instructions that specify which fastening methods are approved.
