I'm struggling with a baseboard that is difficult to attach to the wall because the wall is slightly curved. The board is only 75cm, so there is some tension in it and there is a 2cm gap to the wall (gap on the right). Can you mill a groove in the back of the board to make it a little less stiff, or does anyone have other tips?

  • Baseboard against a lightly curved wall showing a gap on the right side where it doesn’t fully attach. Wooden floor beneath and an electrical outlet nearby.
That should be able to be tightened.

I think you can adjust that too. Screw in the trim.

In the worst case, you buy listskruv and screw it in. That should help.

If you think the screw head is ugly (listskruv's head is probably as small as it can be), then complement it with some white wood filler, that should hide it sufficiently.

If it unexpectedly can't be forced, you can carve out the backside of the strip, down to where the bend is. It won't be visible in the final result.
