Installing an interior door

I have installed a Swedoor Jeldewein interior door that is not solid. There is a plastic piece on the door that is unscrewed and where the hinge is inserted. However, I am unsure whether a screw should go into the empty hole in the plastic piece. There is a chamfer in the plastic where the hole is that looks like it would fit a screw well. Today, the hinge came off the door when the door blew open.

Screw in a screw and you are secured, though it is usually not needed as the plastic fits tightly - if it is in the correct position

There should be a screw there. It holds the hinge in place.
