Hello
We have an ongoing extension project, and our carpenter has received a technical description of how the extension should be constructed, matching the existing house in timber dimensions, insulation, etc.

Now we have discovered that he has not followed the description but instead replaced the bottom and intermediate joists with a different, smaller dimension, 195x45 instead of 220x45mm, which will result in the insulation not being the same as in our description. The floor height will differ.
Drawings of the existing house have been available, clearly showing how the house is constructed, along with a detailed technical description.

We have a fixed price based on the technical description and drawings.
The smaller dimension is also cheaper than the specified one.

Structurally, it might not be decisive since the span is about 2.5m.

The extension is now framed!

What would you do now?
