I am in the process of building a partition fence and a "storage box" in one. To gain stability from my decking and its framework (with properly cast plinths), I have now started building the "storage box". For the construction, I have chosen to lay a base, a rectangular framework on which the box itself will stand. This means I have attached the framework directly to the decking/joists, resulting in wood-against-wood contact.
What is the risk of moisture when doing so?
