If one would want to screw roof boards instead of nailing, would it be crazy?
If one would like to screw the roofing boards on the roof instead of nailing them, would it be crazy?
Is it foolish to maybe use a screw gun for the job?
What screws would one use in that case? Self-countersinking wood screws of some sort? Would the same screws that you would use to fasten OSB indoors be suitable (though those screws might not withstand outdoor environments)?
I'm considering buying a screw gun, and it would be great if I could use it to screw the roofing boards as well. And screws do hold better than nails.
