I want to add an extra layer of plasterboard to a plasterboard wall.

Should I then offset the joints?

But that means I won't get studs at the joints for the new plasterboards?

Is it enough to glue the new plasterboards and screw into the studs where possible?

And what type of glue should I use?

It's a wall in the kitchen that I need to make thicker (marked in red) so that the new kitchen fits along it. The wall where I will replace the kitchen is only 240.5 cm. But it needs to be about 241.3 cm (since the new kitchen ends with a cover panel, which the old kitchen didn't need).

If you start with half a slice, you should get a rule behind the seam

White wood glue wouldn't be my first choice directly. Tile adhesive or setting adhesive will work well.

I'm not arguing with that, hence I attached the link where it states how it SHOULD be done.

White glue and the paper of gypsum board are quite excellent, but it needs pressure while it dries, so you can put screws just into the gypsum at the joints; the screws are removed afterward.

Probably have to be montage/glue :-)
