Hi,
I hope for help and input regarding the wall towards the boiler room. The pictures show one corner of what will become our painting and carpentry workshop. On the other side of the wall is the boiler room with a pellet boiler. The rooms are located in a standalone garage.

As seen in one of the pictures, there are old fittings for conduit pipes. We need to seal these old fittings. We will also move a fuse box that is currently inside the boiler room to the wall you see in the pictures. We will have an electrician do this when he pulls new wiring throughout the workshop.

How should we approach sealing? The entire boiler room is built with single-layer gypsum, which is no longer allowed. This makes it feel extra important for it to be as fire-safe as possible. Should we let the electrician seal it? Or can we do it ourselves? What is permissible to do yourself? And the obvious follow-up question: what is foolish to do yourself when you are not a fire safety expert?

Grateful for all the help!

No fuss, just fire-rated sealant. [link]
