Hi, I'm going to plaster a wall with a lot of pipes, does anyone have tips on how to do it? See the picture of the pipes attached to the ceiling. The drywall should be attached to the steel studs as you can see in the picture. I don't want to build a box to hide the pipes. Ideally, I want to make nice round holes that fit around the pipes.

  • Pipes running along a ceiling with metal studs beneath for drywall installation. Plastic sheeting and tools are visible.

You make the holes exactly in the board as they are in reality, then you divide the board in the middle of the holes' diameters lengthwise, then you mount these two separate boards so that they meet, remember to make paint scratches in the cut connections so that you can fill it sustainably.

Thanks for the great tips, then I should also include a rule in the middle of the seam so the board doesn't gap.

Yes, it's good but small pieces of wood or plywood strips are enough depending on what you have.
