Hi,

I would like to mount a guitar holder on the wall shown in the attached image. I believe the attached plugs should suffice.

The problem for me is that there is electricity running behind that drywall. On the other side of the wall, there are light switches for the bathroom lighting.

How do I solve this?

  • Screw and wall plug for mounting on drywall with potential electrical wiring behind.
  • White wall between two doors with a small round cover plate; concern about electric wiring behind drywall relates to installing a guitar hanger.
What you are showing in the picture is sold in ready-made packages, but it should be a screw instead of a nail. Perfect for the purpose!

If you want to be sure not to hit any electricity, drill a small hole 3 mm only through the plaster, then feel with the drill if there is anything right there, if not, just go ahead, good luck.

If you have a bathroom on the other side, I would have been more concerned about water pipes, ventilation, or moisture barriers.

I understand. What can be done to avoid damaging anything?

A stud finder works great on such a thin wall.

Otherwise, I would use a Duckfoot. I would say it's completely impossible to damage anything inside with that.
