Hello all experts!
I am working on a small extension (+50% living space) of the house, and at the same time, I am changing the panel on the house (why not do everything at once?

). I will switch the panel from vertical to horizontal manor house panel (base panel, Z-panel whatever you want to call it) and will have to change the direction of the battens behind.
But now to the problem: How do I handle the air gap? I won't be able to make the wall either thicker or thinner.
My thought is if you can put a 28x70 (or whatever fits best), with insulation between, apply wind paper, then add another batten so you get "cushions" of insulation. It should affect the insulation ability, but it's more important to create an air gap, even if it's small, right?
Thanks in advance for your replies and thoughts.
