Previous owners have sealed an attic hatch and since then the interior ceiling has gone through various stages and paneling below the original one. Looking for tips on the best way to frame the boards that cover the attic opening. Is there some sort of molding that solves this kind of thing? The "odd" boards will remain, they just need to be framed in some way so that gaps and level differences are reasonably concealed...
