I am building a two-story house with a wooden balcony along the entire long side (about 19 m). When we opt out of the wooden railings from the house supplier, we get back 25 thousand kronor and also have to install the glass railing ourselves. My partner and I know very little when it comes to carpentry, but the question is whether it can be solved for a reasonable cost on our own? Perhaps we can get some help as well...
We have understood that it must be laminated glass since the height is over 2 m. So far we have found glass for about 1000 kronor/meter without fittings and posts. Since we have a classic house style, we would prefer wooden posts or alternatively white aluminum posts. The sides we have seen are quite expensive. Can we get away cheaper by making wooden posts ourselves? (however one does that)
