In yesterday's storm, water was pushed in through a dormer to the cold attic.

This resulted in wet boarding and insulation, with a small amount of water dripping from the ceiling light in the hallway.

Now the question is how should I dry this up?

With 250mm insulation, it's cold in the attic, so even though it's locally damp right now, the conditions for mold growth are not optimal directly.

If I use a construction fan to heat, it will dry faster, but with the heat, the conditions for mold growth become better.

How should I handle this?
Should I let it dry slowly on its own, or should I tear up the insulation and use heat instead?

Remove wet insulation and dry with a construction fan. Mold will not form if the water supply has stopped. I have dried wet wood in the attic with a construction fan with good results.

Deep down, I knew it was the only right thing to do..
The insulation is unrolled, and the construction fan is humming
