Hello

I need to make a "trench" in the basement floor, concrete cast in the 1930s, to create a drain for the washing machine. The plan is to embed a pipe in the floor and then lay tiles over it. Questions:
1: What's the best/easiest way to make the trench in the floor? Someone suggested an angle grinder with a disc for this, but I wonder if that's really the best way.
2. What type of pipe should be used if it's to be embedded in the concrete?

Thanks in advance for tips and answers.

The absolute best way is to rent a wet saw, then there will be no dust to clean up.

Then you cut your channel and make crosscuts so you get suitable pieces to carry out.

The pipes should be marked bd if they are to be cast in.
