How to cut a small piece of door trim?
Picture?
I think a multicutter (or whatever different names they go by) would do the trick nicely. I missed having one this weekend and resorted to a chisel and hammer. That worked okay too.
A handsaw might work if you don't have a wall or something similar that could be damaged. You can probably completely forget about the jigsaw.

As mentioned, it's a typical case for a multimaster (the original from Fein is called that), Bosch has made a copy that I think works quite OK as well, a bit cheaper. Then there are sometimes low-cost variants at Jula etc. I'm more uncertain if they work.
With such a tool, it takes 30-60 seconds to saw off that piece to the millimeter correctly.

I realized I have a dremel at home. Do you think it's possible to buy a cutting disc for it?

I only need to cut what is shown in the picture (and on the opposite side of the door), so buying a multi-tool doesn't feel relevant at the moment. If it doesn't work with the dremel, then a chisel might have to do.
