Hello,
When we bought our house two years ago, the previous owner had installed a door on the upstairs level, adjacent to our bedroom. He used the door as a French balcony, and now we are considering the possibility of building a small balcony to enjoy breakfasts on. Do you think it is possible and if so, does anyone have any ideas regarding the construction? We want to avoid posts down to the ground both because of the appearance and the risk of hitting them with a car.

My brother-in-law hired the same company I used for the patio railing. The company installed a balcony in galvanized iron with a wooden floor that was screwed into the facade. Check with the blacksmiths in your area to see what they can offer, it’s going to look great.
