I am going to install a Nordpeis Monaco.
I need to build a base so that the stove has a level surface. (The stove should stand with the center over the edge of a step).

The hole in the floor towards the wall will be used for air intake.

My plan is to build a base of lightweight concrete blocks, which I will then cover with the same tiles as the rest of the floor, on the sides and on top.

The firebox itself will stand on a "stand" with 4 legs, see photo.
2 of the legs will stand on the base.
The entire stove weighs a few hundred kg, so there will be some weight on the base via the 2 legs.

I will leave a hole in the base for the air intake.

Is this the right way to build the base?
Are lightweight concrete blocks the right material or should I use masonry blocks (lecablock, lättklinkerblock)? Or something else?

Can the 2 legs stand directly on the lightweight concrete block, or do they need reinforcement? There will be heavy pressure from the 2 legs.

(I might lay tiles on top of the lightweight concrete blocks)

Any tips or thoughts?
