How do I attach 95-studs to the inside of a masonry and plastered wall? We're planning to fix up a gable in the bedroom and thought of insulating it a bit by using 95 mm studs before installing a new wallboard. Can you screw with really long screws, or are there better methods?

I used nail plugs + PL 400 when I put up a wall in my brother's apartment.

Nail plug, that was a good idea! Did the mounting adhesive make any difference? I would probably need to prime my old dusting plaster wall if I were to make it stick.

Now I found an old thread, where someone suggested setting double 45 battens instead, but the first one horizontally and the second vertically (and attach with nail plugs!). So it will be.
