To my dismay, I've been tasked with installing pordrän panels on a foundation whose outer shell consists of these boards made of 100 mm polystyrene with a thin layer of plaster, just a few millimeters. The other walls went well because there were concrete elements where we could use nail plugs, but on two walls, there's that polystyrene, which means the boards can be temporarily pressed in place until the backfill comes, but the plastic strip, the "cap" that's placed at the top, doesn't stay at all. You can temporarily secure it in the soft plaster if you're careful, but the next day it's loose. According to standards, the cap should be attached with a total of maybe 150-300 fastenings, so it's a nightmare.

Any tips, anyone? The idea is to seal the strip with façade sealant on the upper edge, but it still needs to stay in place when sealing because it just topples over if it's not secured. How do you attach anything to polystyrene, apart from the answer "you don't"?

Oh right, it's also not supposed to take many hours either......

PU Lim? I seem to remember it's used for gluing styrofoam sheets.

Facade plugs that reach into the concrete usually work best.
