I'm in the process of installing a new IKEA Metod kitchen with their rails and discovered when we started drilling that the wall seems to be made of something that looks like wood wool and plaster. How can we anchor the cabinets to the wall?
The house is from 1939 and the other walls in the apartment are concrete, which we've easily been able to drill into and use plugs. Now when we drill, we go at least a decimeter before hitting something that seems to be concrete. The wall is facing the stairwell.
Anyone have tips?
Then you'll probably need to try to secure it to what's behind the träullite, but make sure that it really is concrete and not brick, hollow block, slag block, or something else that requires a different type of fastening than concrete.
