Hello,

These might be silly questions, but we don't know much about this...:o:confused:; We have mounted Smedbo's bathroom hooks using Loctite Universal Putty. The question is whether it's super important to wait exactly/at least 24 hours as it states the complete curing time before fastening the hooks to the fixture, or if we can attach the hooks to the wall mounts after "just" 21 hours as we've now happened to do? I read in a thread here on the forum that it would apparently be okay to load them already after fifteen minutes, but I'm thinking the stress must be quite significant when you're screwing with screws that sort of squeeze around the fixture and somehow seem to be forcing the hooks' mounts out from the wall...

Question no. 2: Does anyone here have any experience with the hooks coming loose and damaging the tile if that's the case?

Question no. 3: When mounting Smedbo's hooks, the instruction says "do not over-tighten." So what is that then?? It's pretty subjective what's "too tight." I held with two fingers on the short part of the Allen key and tightened until it started feeling like I needed to put more effort. That can hardly be too tight? Anyone with experience with these?

Grateful for answers!
Martin

1. 24h is with a margin. If you accidentally screwed it in after 21 hours, you can probably be at ease...

3. "don't tighten too hard" is a paraphrase for: "Don't use all your strength. These are hooks for bathroom towels, not tires for a Formula-1 car. Use common sense.".

From your description, it doesn't sound like you tightened too hard. If it starts to loosen, just tighten it a bit more. Otherwise, everything should be fine.

What's the worst that can happen? That the towels fall to the floor? :p
