Working on fixing our fireplace, it had a somewhat unusual construction with a large hole with a grate and ash drawer underneath. I have removed the ash drawer, bricked and plastered, then I cast the hole with coarse concrete to a level suitable for laying firebricks.
How long should I wait before bricking in the firebricks? Cast it this morning.
