I'm going to replace the lintel on a fence and trying to remove the metal sheet. It is fastened with "nails" with threads. Nail gun? How do you get these off?
The alternative of pulling off the entire lintel with the metal sheet is difficult because there's an electrical cable. To remove it, I need to access from a slanted angle to pry them up.
Or is there another way? The lintel ends tightly against the facade

  • Two threaded nails with flat washer-like heads lying on a concrete surface.
  • Close-up of metal sheet fastened to a wooden beam with a threaded nail, revealing wear and positioning at an outdoor patio area with plants and furniture.
  • A wooden beam with corrugated metal sheeting attached, positioned near a house facade, under a blue sky with scattered clouds.
Can't you access with a crowbar between the sheet and the stud ("beam") then?

That's a brad nail with sealing. A pair of pincers is usually effective for reaching to pull out the nail from above. Feel free to use a small piece of wood as a spacer between the pincers and the metal sheet when you pry.

If the beam still needs to be removed and it's difficult with a crowbar, you can surely saw off the nail heads with an angle grinder or a similar forceful tool.

Yes, with a little extra strength I managed to get it up. Thanks
