How do I best remove spotlights and fix the ceiling..?
Hello!
We have a small veranda that we are trying to restore to an older style. We will be adding beadboard, wallpaper, etc.
Currently, there is a plastered ceiling with several spotlights, but we are not particularly fond of spotlights and want to remove them to have a more classic ceiling lamp.
What is the easiest way to do it? Remove the ceiling completely and put up new panels?
Try to dismantle everything through the existing holes and then patch the holes? If so, is it easiest to try to saw out a corresponding plasterboard piece that fits in the hole, then plaster and paint?
Grateful for all ideas as we are mostly novices when it comes to renovation
