We have a fairly newly built 2-story house with a recessed entrance where the projecting upper floor rests on a pillar. Where the facade panel (vertical wooden panel) on the protruding building meets the wooden panel on the roof over the entrance, the different layers behind the wooden panel in the house's wall can be seen. Windproofing or whatever it is sticks out, in multiple layers. The inspector and builder said that it should be like this, it cannot be sealed, an air gap must be present. However, it looks dreadful, and this is right by the entrance where you want it to look nice. They haven't bothered to cut it neatly either. We are surprised that no one, neither the inspector, the seller, nor the after-market manager finds this remarkable. The construction team has built many Trivselhus before. Can someone knowledgeable tell us what can be done to tidy it up? I have checked other houses with similar entrances, and there is a board nailed in place to make it look nice. But one can't do that apparently? I hope you understand what I mean... don't have a picture right now.
