Hi

I'm an amateur and a new homeowner, and I'm about to start renovating the surfaces in the bedrooms. The terraced house has a concrete frame, a plastered facade, and some form of straw/reed insulation. How should I approach the insulation? Today, it's impossible to hang anything on the walls with straw/reed insulation, so we're considering putting plywood against the straw and then drywall. Is that the right way, or should we use something else? I'm afraid of doing it the wrong way and causing moisture damage or similar issues. Today, there's only a thin paper material on the straw that is painted/wallpapered.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have any picture of the insulation?

Close-up of a window frame showing insulation and a wall with screws visible.

View of a partially installed window with a visible handle, screws, and insulation material, in a dimly lit room.

Half-decent picture. 😃
