Hello!
I have torn down a wall between the kitchen and the dining room and put up a glulam beam. I will then put renovation plasterboard on the walls. Now there is a hole in the wall where the support post stands. There's a difference of about 1 cm between one wall and the post. How would you cover this in the nicest way?

Thanks in advance!

  • Construction site showing a wall with a support beam, a gap around a post, and renovation materials like wooden planks and a ladder nearby.
  • A wooden post with a visible gap between it and the adjacent wall, illustrating a renovation challenge in closing a 1 cm gap.
  • Wooden support beam next to a partially demolished wall with visible measurements marked on the beam and a gap between the beam and wall.
  • A spirit level measuring elevation on a wooden surface with handwritten numbers, highlighting a gap between the wall and a support post in a renovation project.
Some strips of masonite before the plasterboard will be good.
