Trying to figure out a solution to get a rain-protected patio under my terrace with deck flooring. I know there are various ready-made solutions for this with metal, but I can't afford them right now. I was thinking of attaching strips in an angle on the sides of the beams and then attaching some form of board material to these to direct the water down. The question is, what type of board material should I use that can withstand being exposed to so much water?

Plastic roofing from byggmax?

Maybe it can work, but I'm unsure how tight it can be against the rule, so to speak.

Anyone have more ideas for this problem?

Plastic/fiberglass roof and joint/silicon around the poles, from above if possible
