Hello.
I have just moved into a BoKlok house and have a standalone fridge and freezer. However, it's quite odd, I can't see any brand or model on either of them.
For the first 4 days, the freezer was quiet but now it has started making noise all the time. So incredibly annoying since it's an open floor plan. The sound can also be heard in all the bedrooms as it resonates.
The sound is like from an old computer fan but a bit louder.
It seems like the sound is coming from some fan at the top of the freezer that is constantly running!
The freezer is a model that's supposed to defrost itself and that function seems to be on all the time.
What can be done to quiet the noise?
I know that I am extremely sensitive to noise, I have autism and find it difficult to tune out sounds. I wish I could put the noise in the background but unfortunately, it's not possible.
I'm thinking that in the worst case I might have to move the entire large freezer to a storage room we have in the apartment. Would that work?
The room is large, so it should probably be fine?
Grateful for an answer as I am not familiar with freezers.

Have you looked along door edges, inside and behind the fridge and freezer for labels?
If it is a newly built house, check with neighbors and the board.
Otherwise, ask the seller about models and noise levels.
As long as you have a plastic base and can detect if there is a leak from the freezer and the storage room is at roughly normal room temperature, I don't see any problem with moving the freezer.
