Hi!
The basement is starting to come together after about 8 years. Kids and divorce got in the way
I'm planning to build the staircase myself with steel beams and countertop material. I've started drawing it up in Sketchup, but it's a bit tricky to get it right. Especially how the curved steps should look.
I have a step height of 190mm and a step length between 220-280mm.
What do you think? Does anyone see anything totally catastrophic?

Well, the diagonal steps should be placed 4 in a quarter, i.e. 90 degrees. They will then be about 220 mm in the middle of the flight of stairs, which with a step height of 190 mm meets the rule of 2h+s=60-65 cm. Moreover, it seems that the narrow end of the diagonal steps is poorly planned
Thanks for input.
Ok, 4 steps divided on 90 degree, i.e. 22.5 degrees/step. All diagonal steps will end in the same vertical line. Is that ok? Read somewhere that it needed to be at least 250mm from first step vertical line, but might be wrong.
