Hello.

I have an old garage with a concrete slab and a floor drain. I need to install a new drainage pipe and place a new floor drain. My plan is to cut a groove with a diamond blade out through the long side of the garage. The floor drain is in the middle of the garage, so the distance will be about 3 meters as it is a double garage. After this is replaced, I plan to drill into the reinforcement in the old concrete and pour new concrete to fill the trench. During the work, there will be no load except for the walls. Is this the right approach, or is there another recommendation?
Regards,
Anders

Sounds completely reasonable and drilling in reinforcement is almost too good, I think. Fill with pipe trench gravel ("sand") around and over the pipe. Fix the well with concrete before you cast the rest.
