Currently building a deck over my son's sandbox so he has a place to go on the slide, but I'm pondering a bit about the railing.
How high does it need to be? I've read rules that say both 80 and 110cm... does anyone actually know? Or are there no rules and it's just common sense that applies?
The platform is just under 150cm.
80cm feels reasonable (maybe something to grow with... but 110 feels too high).
He's 90cm tall now but he'll grow... and other kids will be there playing too.
When you look at Jungle Gym's models online, their railings do NOT look over 60-70cm...
Anyone know?

I also read it wrong at first
If you are to follow PBL, it should be 90cm that applies (lower than 3m). And no gaps larger than 100mm
Not entirely sure that PBL applies to play equipment.

The platform ended up about 140cm above the ground, and the fence is 80cm. It has worked well, no one has complained about "low ceiling" in the sandboxElin Blomberg said:
