Hello.
I am in the process of widening my garage by 2 meters and have some issues with the roof construction. Currently, the roof rests on 2 HEB 100 and a load-bearing wall. But since it will be widened from 4 to 6 meters, I probably need a heavier beam or more. The roof has barely any slope, about 2 degrees. Here is a nice drawing in Paint; I hope someone can help me with which beam I can use. Best regards, Philip

  • Diagram of a garage roof structure showing beams and walls with measurements, illustrating expansion from 4 to 6 meters. Includes labels for HEB 100 beams.
Is there no one who can figure out which beams I can use?
The area will be about 6*6 meters without any supporting parts.
Regards, Philip

There certainly is, but what are your load values for dead weight and snow?

I live in Blekinge, where we are in snow zone 2.
The area is 6x6 meters. The beam will rest on 2 points.
On the beam, there are 6 studs 220x45 + sheathing and paper, that is the dead load on the beam.
Best regards, Philip

HEA160, or the slightly heavier HEB140, will be good.

Thank you and Bow!!
