I have torn down the particle board in one of the rooms in our house to open it up.
The house is 1.5 stories with a basement.
The house is 10-11 meters long and 8 meters wide rigidly.
In the so-called heart wall, there were two door openings, I had planned to close one door opening and instead open up a space 140 cm next to the old door... (the opening will be right against one of the exterior walls, the short side)
When I tore down the particle board (10mm), there are 45*45 studs with about 30 cm spacing.
Above the door frame was a piece of 10 mm plywood.
All the studs standing there can be easily twisted and are not under any tension, attached with a nail at the top and bottom.
Do you think I need to reinforce it?
Spontaneously it doesn't feel like it should be necessary.
Underneath this wall, there is a masonry wall in the basement.
But 45*45 as an auxiliary bearing wall doesn't sound right, does it?

Agree with Matti, it cannot be load-bearing, the dimension is too weak. Probably there is an I-beam in the floor structure to which the subframes are attached, in which case there should probably be a couple of columns in the house that transfer the load from the steel beam down to the foundation.
There hasn't been a trellis there. The entire wall in the middle of the house is built in the same way.Matti_75 said:
Wall is gone now, and the floor joists on the upper floor were 220*45.
The wall was not load-bearing, but probably helped support the floor joists a little.
